Sierra Leone Vice-President Victor Bockarie Foh has arrived in Zimbabwe to officially open the annual Harare Agricultural Show here on Thursday.
The show, which is running under the theme "Climate Change Resilience: The New Agriculture Frontier", was initially scheduled to be opened by the Sierra Leone President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma.
The Sierra Leone vice-president was received on arrivalat the Harare International Airport here Wednesday by Zimbabwe Vice-President Phelekezela Mphoko and senior government officials.
The agricultural show is an annual five-day event where farmers, agricultural companies, government Ministries and departments and various other exhibitors showcase their products and services.
Highlights of this year's show include an Agri-Business Conference held on Wednesday, the official opening on Thursday, displays and entertainment by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the Zimbabwe National Army and various local musicians.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) says that this year's Harare Agricultural Show has attracted many exhibitors with exhibition space having to be extended to accommodate the overwhelming turnout of various companies.
ZAS chief executive Dr Anxious Masuka says a number of new categories of exhibitors have come on board for this year's show.
