Sierra Leone/Malawi: Malawi to Name Final Squad Today

Malawi national football team Coach, Ernest Mtawali, will today, 18 March, name his final squad that will play against Guinea in the back-to-back qualifying matches in the African Cup of Nations 2017 qualifiers and the friendly match against Sierra Leone.

According to Malawi 24.com, Mtawali said Malawians will know on Friday the full squad that will travel to Sierra Leone and Guinea, adding that the squad will include over nine local based players who are doing well in the preparation during training.

"I thank our governing body for giving us more time to equip ourselves, and the players have been performing nicely, which is giving us a good expectation, so yah come Friday we will name the final squad," Mtawali was quoted saying.

The Flames will play against Sierra Leone in a friendly match on March 22 before meeting Syli Nationale (national elephant) of Guinea a few days later.
