Freetown: The Chief Education Officer at the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), Edward Kpakra, has officially handed over a newly furnished classroom block to St. Joseph Secondary School in Freetown.
According to Sierra Leone News Agency, the newly constructed facility is part of the government’s Free Education Project, which aims to improve learning conditions and expand access to quality education for pupils across Sierra Leone. The initiative underscores the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure in the country.
The handing-over ceremony was attended by representatives from the school administration, community stakeholders, and civil society organizations. They expressed their appreciation for the government’s continued investment in the education sector, highlighting the importance of such projects in creating a supportive learning environment.
The newly furnished classrooms are expected to significantly enhance teaching and learning by providing a more comfortable and conducive environment for both teachers and students, aligning with the broader goals of the Free Education Project.
