Women Entrepreneurship Workshop Focuses on Building Legacy Businesses

Abuja: The Convener of the Women Entrepreneurship Workshop (WEW), Ngozi Enite-Okoro, describes the Women Entrepreneurship Workshop as a transformational space designed to help women not only build enterprises but also create legacy businesses. Enite-Okoro shared these insights during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Enite-Okoro emphasized that when women come together to learn, the expectation often revolves around inspiration and motivation. However, the WEW goes beyond being just a motivational platform. It is a transformational space where women can take concrete, practical steps to evolve their businesses from passion projects into fully compliant, scalable, and investment-ready enterprises. Since its inception, WEW has achieved tangible results, including the completion of more than 25 Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) business registrations, the filing of over 28 trademarks, securing multiple NAFDAC approvals, and issuing at least five public analysis certificates to women-led brands. These are not mere statistics; they represent real businesses run by real women who are now poised for growth. Enite-Okoro highlighted that WEW has the potential to enable women to build not only enterprises but also legacy businesses that future generations will benefit from.

Enite-Okoro, who is also an award-winning Leadership Coach and Entrepreneur, further elaborated on the workshop’s curriculum. It includes step-by-step NAFDAC registration processes tailored to MSMEs and SMEs, along with Public analysis certification guidance, which is a crucial step in product approval. Additionally, the workshop covers Intellectual Property Rights to ensure women protect their creations, Branding and Packaging Standards that meet global shelf requirements, and Marketing and Customer Service Strategies that drive sales and growth. According to her, this combination makes WEW a bridge between women’s passion and regulatory approval, connecting their ideas to the global market.

From the testimonies of beneficiaries like Prof. Yetunde Isimi, CEO of Kikaboni Organics Cosmetics, and Nenlap Bello, Consultant Pharmacist and CEO of Mutabell Agro and Allied Products Ltd, among others, it is evident that WEW is on the right track. The workshop proves that when women are equipped with the right tools, not just encouragement, they can build compliant, credible, and competitive enterprises.
